We have been enjoying the Rottweiler since 1978... Our first Rottweiler was purchased as a pet from a 'newspaper
ad'. 'Roxie' was certainly not a good representative of the breed in regards to her conformation and was
promptly spayed. She did however possess the correct working temperament. Roxie quickly earned her A/C CDX.
She further instilled our love for the breed with her character, and attitude. We bred our first litter
in 1985. The dam, Pinebrae's Britta Ausdem Abend, A/C CD. ( BIS CH Donnaj Vt Yankee of Paulus, CDX X Irina Von Stolzenfels,
A/C CD ) bred to our own A/C CH Winterhawk's Chief Justice, A/C UDT, BH, SchH1 (a.k.a.'Rosco').
That litter produced.......... CH Windrock's Fanni V Richter and CH Windrock's Flora V Richter, CDXTD
These two girls were the foundation of 'our line '. We have bred many champions and obedience titled Rottweilers including
multiple all-breed BIS and BISS dogs and multiple High In Trial dogs. Titles don't come easily. We are very
fortunate to have had wonderful puppy owners that worked hard to achieve their goals and put the time and effort necessary
in order to obtain these titles. Many of these folks have become close friends. The friendships that
we have made through the 'sport of dogs' have endured throughout the years.......
* As you read about Fanni and Flora's accomplishments you'll realize how special they were to me as 'Parvovirus survivors'.
They were 10 weeks old when they became sick. In the 80's the treatment was not as advanced as it is today............
They sent me home with fluids, instructions on 'how to administer' and " Good Luck". I set up a ' MASH
UNIT' in Marty's pool room, hooking fluid bottles up to the light over the pool table and proceeded to give it a go......It
was a very long week, but they started to come around. I was thrilled and thankful !
